About Us
New Zealand Telugu Association
New Zealand Telugu Association (NZTA) was established in 1998 with an intention to maintain the culture of Telugu people of India. Telugu is one of the largest spoken regional languages in India. NZTA has been registered under the New Zealand Society’s Act as a non profit organisation to serve the Telugu speaking people living in New Zealand and to provide support to other Indian communities as required for community, cultural and social development.
Every year the association brings families together for Sankranti, Ugadi, Sri Rama Navami, Vinayaka Chavithi, Bathukamma, Dussehra and Deepavali, alongside Telugu language classes, youth and sports programmes, business networking and community support.
